2019 Drive to Make a Difference Charity Golf Outing
Our 2nd annual Drive to Make A Difference charity golf outing was on Sunday, July 28th 2019. We had a full golf course of over 100 golfers, multiple sponsorships, and many volunteers. Our very own Dr. Bill McLaughlin hit the shot of a lifetime! Bill hit the grand prize hole-in-one, which awarded him a week long vacation for (2) at Pebble Beach golf course valued at $11,000! We also had former Detroit Red Wings captain Nick Libett speak at our dinner reception about his battles with cancer and his experience in our department, which was truly remarkable. The fundraising focus of the 2019 outing was to raise funds to support the pediatric patients treated in the Ann Arbor Radiation Oncology Department. With the sponsorships, donations, and participation at the event we were able to raise over $15,000 that went directly back to our patients.
1st Annual Rally in the Alley 2019
The Rally in the Alley fundraising event in 2019 was a huge success. The afternoon included bowling, a silent auction, games, pizza and more. There was a fabulous turnout. A total of 86 bowlers hit the alley, with countless others enjoying the event from the sidelines. Approximately $3,000 was raised. These funds will help radiation oncology patients cover basic expenses such as meals, travel and lodging during their treatment.
Thanks to all those who volunteered their time and energy to make Rally in the Alley a fun day and a successful event. A huge thank you to everyone who attended, sponsored, and donated silent auction items. The support shown for these events is enormous and patients directly benefited from the generosity of everyone involved.
